The Grasshoppers is a new talented multi-instrumental group of 12 & under musicians who love bluegrass. Musicians and singers alike, these kids can and will wow you with their talent and intense drive to play and perform. Beth Davis from Carbondale, IL plays fiddle, guitar and sings. Issac Durst joins us for the first time from the Kansas City, Mo area. Issac plays mandolin, stand up bass and sings. Giri Peters, who hails from Nashville, TN plays fiddle and mandolin and sings. Uma Peters, sister of Giri Peters, plays fiddle, banjo and sings.
Someday Soon is an exciting group of young musicians, who have a love for all types of music, but mainly focus on bluegrass, acoustic blues, and gospel. The band consists of four great musicians, all of them being under the age of 21.
Frannie DiGiovanni plays guitar and sings for the band. She started the guitar at the age of 7 and has continuously progressed since then.
Cara DiGiovanni plays several instruments but serves as a mandolin player for the band, as well as lead and harmony vocals. Cara started learning the fiddle when she was 5, and eventually took to playing mandolin at about 8.
Ivy Phillips started playing the fiddle at age 4 and sings and plays fiddle with the group. She also plays old time banjo and mandolin with the band on occasion.
Her older brother Grayson Phillips, plays bass and does a fantastic job. Grayson has been playing for nearly two years.
The four of them come together as a band to form a unique and entertaining sound
The members of both groups have won numerous awards and accolades throughout the country at various fiddle, banjo, mandolin and guitar contests and festivals.
